It was a seemingly quiet evening at Citrus Bar and Grill. As the time grew closer to six o’clock, pharmacists arrived at the venue to attend a
writing workshop conducted by our very own president, Dr. Mary Choy, PharmD, CGP. Thanks to our sponsors at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists were able to gather for this great event. In addition to Dr. Choy’s writing workshop, Dr. Larisa Chagan, a regional medical scientist at Auxilium provided a presentation on Dupuytren’s Disease, followed by her review of Xiaflex® (collagenase clostridium histolyticum), a Duptuytren’s Disease treatment. Following her presentation, Dr. Choy gave a very informative presentation on professional writing. Dr. Choy highlighted strategies to overcome the barriers to writing and publishing, along with outlining the publication process to the audience. The night grew to a close with pharmacists in attendance providing positive feedback and brainstorming ideas to get themselves published. NYCSHP strives to bring the best to our membership! Please join us for our next event!
