Recap of February CE Meeting at Ichi Umi

Over the past few months, NYCSHP has given us many great CE opportunities. This trend of excellence has continued to educate many involved members. In addition to providing CE programming, NYCSHP is well known to bring the members closer to experiencing new, delicious cuisines. February’s CE event was brought to us by Dendreon Corporation and was housed in the Ktown district. Edible delights were provided by Ichi Umi Sushi and by the looks of things, members were enjoying themselves.

While members indulged in Asian cuisine, Dr. Vacirca started the night with a presentation defining the role of PROVENGE in prostate cancer treatment. The crowd was thoroughly interested and definitely picked the mind of this seasoned oncologist. Following Dr. Vacirca’s presentation, Dr. Man Yee Merl presented on Prostate Cancer: Prevention, Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment. Dr. Merl kept the crowd engaged with pop questions and was eager to educate our members.

Thank you Drs. Vacirca and Merl for taking the time out of their busy schedules to present to our members. The chapter is gracious of your contributions. Don’t forget to register your CE on
