Industry Relations Meeting at New York Presbyterian Hospital

NYCSHP’s Industry Relations Meeting kicked off at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Members were able to network with the many Industry sponsors as well as meet and greet with many of the evening’s attendees.

She values NYCSHP’s continued relationship with industry sponsors and the many educational opportunities that NYCSHP has to offer to members. President Guo announced the upcoming month’s event and her goal of collaboration throughout her term. President Guo introduced Director at Large, Dr. Zane Last, who coordinated this year’s Industry Relation’s Meeting. Dr. Last thanked everyone for attending and gave some insight about the goals of the event.

The evening continued with the continuing educational program. The evening’s speaker was Dr. Monica Mehta, NYSCHP’s VP in Public Policy. Her presentation was titled Pharmacy Practice in New York: Past, Present and Future. Dr. Mehta integrated her knowledge of public health, heath care organizations, and the progression of pharmacy practice through inter-profressional collaboration. She had shared her experiences working in Texas and shown us how the pharmacists’ roles can expand through policy and advocacy. Dr. Mehta’s insightful presentation concluded with a question and answer session.
