NYSCHP pharmacists and student members from Touro College of Pharmacy and Long Island University teamed up on a beautiful Saturday morning for the highly anticipated Adopt-A-Highway program. A stretch of the Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx is dedicated to NYCSHP for our dedication to cleaning up highway roadsides.
Members came together equipped with trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers to clear the area of litter, recyclables, and loose trash. Everybody worked hard in hopes to make the surrounding roadsides more aesthetically pleasing. With such a great turnout from an incredibly motivated group, the cleanup was quick and efficient. In addition, it was a great opportunity for members involved to network and focus on giving back to the community. ThisĀ annual event was a resounding success. Until next year!
