NYCSHP’s first networking program of the year kicked off at NYY Steakhouse, coordinated by President-elect, Charrai Byrd.
President, Karen Berger, began the program by welcoming everyone to a new year. She provided chapter updates and highlighted the progress of her goals presidential goals thus far.
Vice President of Public Policy, Andrew Kaplan, delivered the evening’s legislative update featuring the success of the recent educational visits regarding the pharmacy technician registration and certification bill.
The program continued with a presentation about Shingrix, the inactivated vaccine used to prevent shingles in adults ages 50 years and older. The presentation discussed the vaccine’s safety and efficacy data as well as long term immunity.
