The NYC Grassroots Advocacy Committee – created by then-President Karen Berger – started the Council’s journey to embracing advocacy at a local level and as an integral part of the member experience. As mentioned, we now have a state-wide Grassroots Committee with nearly a half-dozen local chapters!
