NYCSHP established the New Practitioner Scholarship in September 2020 to recognize an exemplary new practioner (<5 years in practice). This year, we asked applicants to submit a video highlighting their role on an inter-professional team and how their contributions advance patient care.
Criteria:
- Nominee must be a NYCSHP (primary NYC chapter) new practitioner member and may nominate themselves or another NYCSHP member may nominate a deserving new practitioner pharmacist
- Eligible nominee must be a new practitioner pharmacist within 5 years from a Doctor of Pharmacy graduation or formal residency training
- Nominee is encouraged to have experience working or volunteering in a health-system pharmacy practice (e.g. hospital, long-term care, industry, managed care, etc.)
- Nominee must have attended at least two NYCSHP programs, including but not limited to monthly board meetings, continuing education programs, networking programs, etc.
