The New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists is a chapter of The New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists. We represent our members who practice in the many different areas of pharmacy practice.
The chapter provides networking, programming and leadership to pharmacists practicing in health care facilities throughout NYC. NYCSHP is active in the community involving itself in outreach programs in schools, medical centers and teaching hospitals.
Approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education, the New York City Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists offers a full spectrum of continuing education programming across the state at various times of the year. Presented to members and non-members, either free or at a minimal cost, these programs are offered throughout the year.
NYCSHP is actively involved in the legislative process on behalf of its members, in support of the Collaborative Drug Therapy Management signed into law in 2011. NYCSHP strongly supports expansion of the scope of practice, regulation of technicians and expansion of immunization.
